Bio

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, I honed my skills in Visual Arts at Universidad Veracruzana, with a focus on illustration and visual narrative. My work, deeply influenced by art history and nature, spans across illustrations, murals, sculptures, article designs, and accesories. I’ve exhibited in countries like Mexico, Colombia, France, Italy, Spain and the USA, boasting three solo and over 20 group presentations. I have illustrated three printed books and have been featured in prominent catalogs including Conaculta (Mexico), HICHAE (Las Vegas), and the University of Palermo (Argentina). As a guest speaker, I have shared insights at the University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS) and St Teresa Academy (Kansas City, MO). Kansas City showcases my murals at 15 locales. I was chosen for Kansas City’s annual “Parade of Hearts 2023”. Recently, I curated my first artistic exhibition titled “The Artist Hands”, where I also unveiled my ongoing artistic project “The Immigrant Jaguar”.

Artist Statement

I am a swimmer in the sea of infinite creativity. I like to immerse myself in free creation. As a multimedia artist, I aim to foster a dialogue between the materials I emply and the symbols they represent. I thrive on diversifying my techniques to avoid confining myself to a singular mode of expression. My repertoi encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, murals, editorial design, illustration, art installation and art direction. I see myself as an artist for whom nurturing creativity is the primary catal for my work. Utilizing commonplace materials challenges conventional boundaries, epitomizing my quest for uninhibited creation. My main objective is to exhibit the vast potential of a creative mind. By imbuing my art with meaning and symbols, I strive to craft pieces that evoke thought, cultive change, and prompt conversations between the observer and the art piece. Eschewing the “traditional” label, I believe s-uch categorizations can stifle art’s evolution. My work celebrates the non-traditional, and I wear that badge with pride. I also love to create projects that allow me to collaborate with other artists because I believe that together we can build an artistic legacy. My art installations are full of symbols, which are always displayed in a non-traditional way, creating a more engaging experience for the people, space and the art in a way that fosters dialogue between them. My creativity makes me feel free as I swim in the ocean of possibilities. I know that there are no limits to creation, and that feeling of fluidity is what inspires my art. And if I find a problem, I know that my creative thinking will help me find a solution. I don’t know if I will be doing tomorrow what I am doing today, but I know I will be creating something new. I have a lot to explore in this immense ocean, and that is the engine of my art. I am not sure of many things in this life, but what I am sure of is that I was born to be creator.
